Asmat Raza is a development specialist and an agricultural economist. He
works closely with several United Nations institutions such as FAO, World Food
Program and interacts with World Bank and Asian Development Bank. He is a
distinguished Chevening Scholar with a master’s and DIC from Imperial College
London. Mr. Raza is the recipient of multiple fellowships at several leading
universities across the United States, including the University of Florida,
University of California, University of North Carolina, University of Michigan,
Mississippi State University, and Iowa State University.
He is well-travelled and had opportunities to travel to U.K., France, Turkey,
Thailand, Vietnam, U.A.E, Qatar, Egypt, Tunisia, etc. beside multiple visits to
the United States.
‘Circle of Destiny’ is his first effort in fiction. Currently he is working on his
second novel, ‘Shadow of the Night’ based upon the events in Pakistan during
Zia-ul-Haq’s era.
