Hurriya is a typical Eastern lady; an embodiment of physical beauty with a strong character. She is empathetic. She sees her own reflection in every suffering woman of her society. But her father is the ‘real’ man. His uniqueness and point of demarcation is that he wants his daughters to stand shoulder to shoulder with men; with all the privileges: education, respect, and social status.

The story reaches its zenith when the ‘real’ man of attitude and character becomes miserable as he witnesses his dreams washed away by the tides of conformity.

In this story, life seems nothing more than an uncertain drama. It revolves around the life of Hurriya, facing and examining the atrocities and uncertainties of a male chauvinist society, terrified by the very thought of marriage. She knows deep down inside and from the horror stories of women around her that marriage is just a extra burden; a pre-conceived, socially constructed institution for exploitation designed to manipulate the plight, dilemma, fears, contradictions, convulsion, frustrations, turmoil, endurance and ambitions of an individual who is defined and compartmentalized by gender, and by cultural impositions. Does Hurriya give in to the pressures of culture or survive against all odds?
