Editorial Review

Urdu-Bahasa (Indonesia)

This book is probably the first academic research work by an Indonesian language scholar on this subject. The writer is well-versed with historic evolution of different languages and impacts of religious beliefs, diverse cultures and local traditions on common word vocabulary. It is a commendable effort indeed, which not only provides fresh insight into amazing lingual similarities between national languages of Indonesia and Pakistan, but also helps to understand the enduring bonds of friendship between the people of two nations with a new perspective.

Mr. Dicky Rachmat Pauji has done a great job in presenting a very important work on languages. This book focuses on the similarities between Urdu and Indonesian, two languages that represent the identities of two great Asian nations. The book will undoubtedly enrich the references about Indonesia in Pakistan. And I am confident that it can contribute to strengthening the fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries. I congratulate the writer for doing this great job of strengthening people to people relations.

Drawing on rigorous research methodology and a deep passion for languages, he traces lexical similarities and correlations between words commonly used in Pakistan and Indonesia, revealing connections that are as surprising as they are enlightening. This is a highly recommended read for language enthusiasts, researchers, and educators alike.
