Saints and Shrines of Pothohar

Zulfiqar Ali Kalhoro is an anthropologist and the author of more than ten books. His main area of interest is religion, art, and the heritage of Pakistan, especially in Sindh. He has also researched in the Punjab, Balochistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan on religion, heritage, Sufism, folk art, rock art, and Islamic architecture.
One of his books entitled Perspectives on the Art and Architecture of Sindh (2014) deals with the lesser-known heritage of Sindh. Apart from Islamic art and architecture, he has also written several articles on Sufism, Hindu, and the Sikh heritage of Pakistan. His four most recent books: Wall paintings of Sindh (2020), The Rock Art of Karachi (2020), Reflections on the Pothohar Heritage (2020), and Symbols in Stone: The Rock Art of Sindh (2018) deal with the lesser-known cultural heritage of Pakistan.
Currently, he is working on two research projects 1) Megalithic Sindh and 2) Cultural Heritage Along the Silk Road in Pakistan.
